Creator Earnings Estimator

Enter views and a platform to see an estimated ad-revenue range — or plug in your own RPM for a single, more accurate figure.

If you know your actual RPM from a payout report, enter it for a single estimate instead of a range.

How the estimate is built

The formula is deliberately simple: views divided by 1,000, multiplied by RPM (revenue per thousand views). The complexity is entirely in what RPM to use — this tool ships with an illustrative low/mid/high range per platform, built from broadly reported industry figures, rather than one invented number that would imply more certainty than actually exists.

Because RPM depends so heavily on factors outside this calculator's inputs — audience geography, niche, season, and ad-fill — the range should be read as "somewhere in this ballpark," not a precise payout prediction. Your own historical RPM, entered as an override, will always beat a generic table.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is RPM and how is it different from CPM?

RPM (revenue per mille) is what a creator actually takes home per 1,000 views, after the platform's cut and any ad-fill gaps — it's the creator-side number. CPM is the advertiser-side number, what a brand pays per 1,000 impressions before the platform's share is deducted. RPM is always lower than the CPM advertisers are paying, often significantly.

Why is the range so wide?

RPM swings enormously based on factors this simple calculator can't see: audience country (advertisers pay much more to reach some markets than others), content niche (finance and tech usually monetize far better than, say, general entertainment), season (RPM often dips in January, rises toward the holidays), video length, and ad-fill rate on a given day. The low/mid/high range reflects that real spread rather than pretending to a false precision.

Can I get a more accurate number?

Yes — if you have real numbers from your own payout dashboard, calculate your actual RPM (revenue ÷ views × 1,000 for a recent period) and enter it as the RPM override. That replaces the generic platform range with a single estimate based on your own track record, which will be far more accurate than any generic table.

Does this include brand deals or affiliate income?

No — this estimates only ad-revenue-style, views-based monetization (the platform's own ad-sharing programs). Sponsored posts, affiliate commissions, product sales, and memberships are separate income streams with their own economics; use the Influencer Rate Calculator for sponsored-post pricing.

Rough estimate only, not a guaranteed or predicted payout. Actual ad revenue is set by each platform's monetization program and varies by audience, niche, season, and policy changes.
