Jon Gieselman, a seasoned marketing and sales executive with extensive experience in highly competitive industries, has been appointed as Comcast’s new Chief Growth Officer for its residential domestic businesses. Gieselman will be responsible for leading the teams that manage Comcast’s U.S. residential businesses, including product and brand strategy, sales, marketing, and retention.

  • Gieselman’s most recent role was President of Expedia Brands, where he led all consumer-facing businesses worldwide.
  • He previously spent five years at Apple as VP of services marketing, overseeing marketing for subscription businesses like Apple TV+, Music, and the App Store.
  • Gieselman also served as SVP of marketing at DirecTV for 10 years, a time when the company reached its peak consumer and product relevance.

Gieselman will report to Steve Croney, who was recently named Chief Operating Officer of Comcast’s Connectivity & Platforms division. This division serves more than 64 million homes and businesses in the U.S.

Gieselman expressed his enthusiasm for joining Comcast, saying, “I loved competing in this category for over a decade so all I can say to my friends and former colleagues is look out, we’re coming.”
Gieselman holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College and an MBA in strategy and marketing from St. John Fisher University.

“I am thrilled to join Comcast and contribute to the company’s growth and success,” Gieselman said. “I am excited to work with the team and help build a strong brand presence in the U.S. market.”

Gieselman will begin his new role on April 28, relocating from San Francisco to Philadelphia with his wife. He will lead the teams responsible for Comcast’s U.S.
